Retail on Frederick's North End Continues to Grow with Opening of Walmart Supercenter

The new Walmart Supercenter opened at 2421 Monocacy Blvd. on January 25, 2017. It will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is approximately 187,000 square feet and has a full-service pharmacy with drive-through window and groceries.

The grand-opening included presentations of $5,780 in grants from (Walmart and/or the Walmart Foundation) to local community groups including Frederick City Police Department, Walkersville Fire Department, Glade Valley Food Bank, Animal Welfare, Frederick Rescue Mission and Religious Coalition.

Walmart is located on the site of the former Frederick Trading Company.  Other planned amenities on the site will include a Chick Fil A and Starbucks.

The Walmart Supercenter at Frederick Trading Center joins other major retail centers clustered on the northern limits of The City of Frederick, including Market Square, Clemson Corner, Shops at Monocacy, and the planned Village Center at Worman's Mill.
